Cyber Security Awareness Week - Commencing June 6th 2010
June, 2010 Current News
The Australian Cyber Security Awareness Week is an annual event that brings together public and private partnerships to help provide practical information on cyber security awareness.
This year the 6 key themes are:
- Install security software and update it regularly
- Turn on automatic updates so that all your software receives the latest fixes
- Get a stronger password and change it at least twice a year
- Stop and think before you click on any attachments
- Stop and think before you share any personal or financial information – about yourself, your family or friends
- Know what your children are doing online. Make sure they know how to stay safe and encourage them to report anything suspicious.
One of the Eunexus’s key guiding principles is to participate in the collaboration and sharing or practical cyber-security information. This is why Eunexus is proud to support Cyber Security Awareness week.
